CBS elevates Pepper to Direct on-course reporter; Catalon added into golf coverage


CBS Sports announced several changes Tuesday dawn to its golf policy group, including two involving announcers with Capital Region ties. Watch The Masters Live.

Saratoga Springs resident Dottie Pepper, who joined the network in 2015, was raised to a direct on-course reporter.  Pepper is a 17-time LPGA winner and was 1992 LPGA Player of the Year. Watch The Masters Live.

Andrew Catalon, that worked 91/2 years as a weekend sports anchor at WNYT (NBC-13), will serve as a sponsor for select PGA Tour events. 

CBS, which did not renew the contracts of longtime golf analysts Gary McCord and Peter Kostis declared other changes:

Frank Nobilo will expand his role and function as an analyst for the full golf course.


Mark Immelman will increase his responsibilities, working the majority of the PGA Tour schedule.
Michelle Wie will contribute to multimedia protection this year, including the Masters.

The system announced last month that Davis Love III will be a fulltime golf analyst for CBS Sports.
For the 2020 golf season, newcomers Trevor Immelman and Love will join veterans Jim Nantz, Nick Faldo, Watch The Masters Live, Ian Baker-Finch, Nobilo, Pepper, Mark Immelman, Amanda Balionis and Catalon on CBS golf policy.
